A Baby’s Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
My sympathies I share with you;
I don’t know what to do
But join you in your time of deep despair.
No words can take away your pain,
Or earthly thoughts to you explain
Why you must now endure this painful loss.
The tears will fall upon your cheek,
Since human words can barely speak
Expressing what is deep within your heart.
The love that you had hoped to share,
Please know, down deep, it still is there,
Now saved until the day when you unite.
For now please keep this lasting tear,
The symbol of a life once here,
A life that meant so very much to you.
I give this lasting tear of glass
To symbolize a life now passed,
The only thing that I can think to do.

A Brother’s Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
The times shared with your brother,
The good times and the bad:
Sometimes he’d make you happy;
Sometime he’d make you mad!
A brother, yes… but still your friend,
A painful loss for sure.
The special gift your brother shared
Shall last forever more!
The gift your brother offered
Is love that’s never lost.
Though grief may be a heavy price,
It’s truly worth its cost.
Time you shared as siblings
You keep forever more
In your heart – stored perfectly,
Of this you can be sure.
Glass Tears – my way to tell you
How much I truly care.
To join with you in darkest times,
My sympathies I share.

A Grandparent’s Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
It’s time to say goodbye -
There is no easy way.
I send my deepest sympathy,
So little I can say.
As grandparents leave this world,
Some things they leave behind.
Yet other things they take with them
Stored safely in their mind.
The times you shared together,
These memories they keep.
Sweet thoughts about their grandchild
Gives comfort as they sleep.
I know this loss is difficult,
And you will miss them so.
But all the love you have for them
As teardrops, love now shows.
A Grandparent’s Tear,
This simple tear of glass,
Reminding you of love you shared
To keep as time shall pass.

A Sister’s Tear

When you have lost a sister,
Your world is not the same.
The tears of loss that you now shed
Shall bring to you no shame.
Siblings share their lifetimes;
Side by side you grew.
Remember all those good times,
For now, all you can do.

Glass Tears
By Randal S. Doaty
The tears that fall upon your cheek
Are formed from words that angels speak,
The dew of love that grows upon your soul.
This tear of glass I give to you,
A tear that lets God’s light shine through,
Reflects the love from deep within my heart.
A tear can’t take away the pain,
Nor words of man to you explain,
The darkness cast upon your very soul.
A tear of glass – a tear of love,
Along with prayers to God above,
I offer in these times of deep despair.
I give this lasting tear of glass,
A token of a life that passed,
A simple way that I can share your pain.
In years to come tears fade away,
But tears of glass are meant to stay,
Like those who join you on your darkest day.
Tear of glass, tear of glass,
Let the light of God get past,
To show the path that He has laid for you.
Tear of glass, tear of glass,
Reflecting light that God has cast
To welcome home a spirit born anew.

I’ll Share Your Tears
By Randal S. Doaty
Please don’t hide your teardrops
From me - I truly care.
In this your time of mourning
Your tears are meant to share.
Sometimes you can control them,
Sometimes you have no choice.
No matter why these tears appear,
They are your spirit’s voice!
When human words are not enough,
Our heart sends forth a tear,
Not a sign of weakness!
Your heart speaks plain and clear.
No need to say what can’t be said;
Your tears, they say it all.
I’ll listen as your heart cries out
Through teardrops as they fall.
So please don’t hide your teardrops;
I’ll share this time of grief.
The toughest times that lay ahead
I’ll help you find relief!

The Generosity Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
Your gift, so unexpected…
I scarce can find the words
To share the things I feel inside;
My heart cries to be heard.
Tears say what our words cannot,
A voice from deep within.
When tears appear, our heart cries out,
So let the tears begin.
However can I thank you
For what you freely gave?
The gift you shared unselfishly
Within my heart is saved.
Folks like you are far and few -
With selfless hearts of gold.
I had to find a special way
My feelings could be told.
For you, this simple tear of glass
With heartfelt thanks is shared,
For all that you have done for me,
So blessed that you have cared.

The Pet Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
You’ve lost a special friend;
I know it breaks your heart.
Pets love us unconditionally -
Companionship their art.
The life you shared together
Not tallied by the years,
The precious gifts our pets can share
Is measured by our tears.
Few words can offer comfort
For those who lose a pet,
So I now share this tear of glass
For those you won’t forget.
Some day you will remember
The pet you loved so dear,
With smiles and sweetest memories
Reflected by your tears.
I send my deepest sympathy
In this your time of grief.
My thoughts and my best wishes
That you may find relief.

The Sorrow Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
All words to share escape me;
My heart is broken, too.
Sorrow overcomes me;
I don’t know what to do.
My words - they seem inadequate,
So little I can say.
Yet I shall stand beside you,
Support you night and day.
I want to share your burden,
To lift your heavy load,
To walk beside in darkest times
Grief’s solitary road.
I join with many others
In sharing all your pain.
Please know you are surrounded
By we who still remain.
This tear of glass - a promise,
My love displayed for you,
Reminding you to call on me,
So I can help you through.

Your Baby’s Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
What to do escapes me,
To show how much I care.
To comfort you in a time like the,
My love - all I can share.
No words that I might offer
Will take away your pain,
But know that I are here for you;
Beside you I remain.
I shall not forget them,
And you should do the same.
Their life, though lived inside of you,
Still worthy to proclaim.
The world…well most don’t get it,
When unborn children die,
As hopes and dreams just drift away
And us…to wonder why.
What matters is the love we keep,
Stored safely in our heart.
One day in Heaven you shall meet;
It’s then their story starts!

Your Parent’s Tear
By Randal S. Doaty
Life is now much different,
Since Mom and Dad have gone.
The essence of your daily life
Now changed as you look on.
Years gone by - remembered,
Still filled with Mom and Dad.
These times you shared together,
For now might make you sad.
Shared good and bad - together,
They spun your childhood dreams.
Unconditional was their love -
To parent – what it means.
Please accept this tear of glass;
Deep sympathy I share.
To honor both your Mom and Dad,
To show how much I care.
Your life may now be different,
Yet you were truly blessed.
Hold tight your parents’ memories,
And know they did their best.
